Peel back the layers of tradition, worship styles, buildings, and programs from the last two-thousand years, and we should find the origin of what it is to follow Christ: 
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30. 
This is our goal, our aim, our target. In our pursuit, God leads us to what is second in His commands, “The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” Mark 12:31.
